Creativity is very subjective and difficult to assess. The following breakdown of levels of creativity can help you to create rubrics and assess your students' creative works.

Level 6: Unusually Creative

Level 5: Highly Creative

Level 4: Creative

Level 3: Somewhat Creative

Level 2: Not very Creative

Level 1: Uncreative

Torrance Test for Creative Thinking

Dr. E. Paul Torrance is known for his extensive research on creativity and the creation of the Torrance Tests for Creative Thinking (TTCT). Dr Torrance built upon the work of J.P. Guilford and created the TTCT which measured the creativity of an individual by assessing the four areas below.

4 Areas of Measurement
1. Fluency - the number of ideas
2. Flexibility - the number of categories of the ideas
3. Originality - the number of uncommon ideas
4. Elaboration - the amount of details in the ideas
